The Facts on India
Today, India is still ranked as a third world country with about 60% of its population being unemployed. Even among the employed, the majority earn far below international pay scale levels. Only those who are employed in multinational companies are paid normal wages. However, that employment is 0.00001% in metro cities.

Most of the population has a standard of living that is unacceptable for human beings.
The Government of India is trying to improve conditions in metro cities: Mumbai, Calcutta, Chennai, New Delhi, and Bangalore. However, the Government’s efforts are feeble to say the least. Moreover, rural areas are getting less assistance than required.
According to estimates, more than 700 million people live like animals in inhospitable areas, 300 million get less than one meal a day and another 400 million may get one meal a day and are living in temporary shelters – but without proper toilets, purified water, medical treatment, employment and educational facilities.

The GOVIND DAS HUMANITARIAN FOUNDATION (GDHF) is a non-profit organization with a mission to improve the lives of underprivileged children, senior citizens, widows, indebted people and farmers, thus enabling them to maximize their potential change in their lives. GDHF works primarily in the field of food for life, education, living standard, medical facilities, employment and reduction of debts from poor masses.
We commit to support each distressed person by giving him or her food, shelter, education, medical, employment, self esteem and values and to help them achieve employment as a step towards improving their standard of living.

GDHF is a non-governmental organization, whose mandate is to promote food for life, education, medical assistance, and to protect the basic human rights of underprivileged children, women and elders.
GDHF firmly believes that education is the right of every child. The Government of India has committed to make primary education free and compulsory for all children. This commitment has been left grossly unfulfilled. Even amongst children who do initially enroll in school, most do not continue with formal education and often give up their pursuit altogether.

Mr. Prasad is in the process of putting together a management team that will organize this project. The funding requirement is expected to be in the scale of billions or more. The procuring of this funding is in progress.
